Dt. Steele joined the Allen College School of Nursing in 2001. She holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) in Organizational Leadership from Rush University (2013), a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from The University of Iowa (1999), and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from The University of Iowa (1992).  She is also a Certified Nurse Educator (CNE) and a Certified Online Instructor (COI). Her teaching responsibilities include pharmacology, medical/surgical nursing, NCLEX preparation, leadership and educational concepts.

What do you enjoy most about teaching at Allen College? 
I truly enjoy observing the growth in students from one semester to the next and being a part of their transition to the professional registered nurse role. The Allen College Nursing faculty are a true pleasure to work and collaborate with in creating a robust nursing curriculum to help students achieve program outcomes and become members of the nursing profession.
